Melting Away











What started in the minds of eager children became real for awhile, but is now fast becoming a ghost; to remain only in stories and books until the next snowfall.

It is sad to see them melt away but then winter is just beginning. I love what you wrote to accompany the photos.

You asked about the door on the gazebo, I'm not sure what it was originally intended for but now it is probably for access to the electrical panel and maintenance.

I wish I could melt me into a shape like the last photo, if you can figure it out let me know. the last snowman I built was in 1958

Building a snowman is still the biggest kick I get out of a snow fall. Everything else is work. But a snowman...oh, that's still special.
