It is sad to see them melt away but then winter is just beginning. I love what you wrote to accompany the photos.
You asked about the door on the gazebo, I'm not sure what it was originally intended for but now it is probably for access to the electrical panel and maintenance.

Building a snowman is still the biggest kick I get out of a snow fall. Everything else is work. But a snowman...oh, that's still special.
