Country Church

What's this we have here? A charming country church for my Sunday post. Let's get closer and take a peek inside, shall we? Well, there's a Christmas tree, an altar cloth, even a piano. But the poor pastor must have been having an extremly bad hair day! He looks kind of like he's gotten a bad electrical shock from all the surrounding lights! My,oh my, someone bring a comb quick! But there's something that's just not quite right about our little church...I confess it's not an actual church! In fact, it's barely four feet high, and I towered over it as I took my pictures. This is another display from the Festival Of Lights in the city of Staunton. I just had to get out of the car in the dark, carefully walking around all the cords, and peek inside. And my eyes beheld this room full of worshipping little people! I walked away charmed, but feeling the need to diet stronger than ever.

"Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there I am with them." Matthew 18:19,20

Besides Ginters, The Festival of Lights in Staunton is another place to add to my list. That's the neatest little church... BUT--I must say that the preacher was having a bad hair day... ha ha ha

Great post on a Sunday... WE missed church today.. Feels kinda strange... Still too much ice around here.
Hugs,
Betsy

I'm glad you found and shared this little church. The Festival of Lights must be really something. As Betsy said, we had to be content with Morning Prayer here at home today. We're still waiting for our road to be cleared. It's been a strange two days with no traffic going by.

Miniatures are always fascinating. How do they do it - and make it all so perfect? Good of you to brave the dark - and the feeling of being a giantess - to capture this to share.

Oh how cute, what a wonderful display. When I saw the first photo I thought it was a real church too. I would say the preacher and the whole congregation could use a brush and maybe some hairspray, really bad hair day for all.
