Arks Great And Small

A Christian school in our area has this little ark in their playground, instead of the usual swing and slide. A scenario comes to mind. A mom and her little boy at the school. The mom says "Noah, I'm tired from working all day and I have a headache. You go play in the ark now and I'll pick you up in forty days." Do you ever wonder what the real ark would have looked like? Wonder no more. CLICK HERE to see an earlier post of mine, with pictures of the ark built to exact specifications of the bible measurements. This may be as close as it comes to get an idea of what that size would have looked like.

"Noah was six hundred years old when the floodwaters came on the earth. And Noah and his sons and his wife and his son's wives entered the ark to escape the waters of the flood...And after the seven days, the floodwaters came on the earth." Genesis 7":6

Interesting (had a look at the older post, too). Seems to me there are so many reports of floods and tsunamis all over the world lately that lots of places could do with having an ark standing ready...! ;)

What a fun idea, I'll bet the kids love playing in the ark. I remember your earlier post it really is big.

Have a great weekend Ginny.

love this one Ginny, what a great idea for a yard. Love your little Story too.
and i am thinking if things don't turn around we might need another ark. I wonder how many of us would be allowed on it

Hi Ginny, There was a big church in Colorado (that I visited once) --which had a huge building and parking area. They had some of their members build a HUGE (I mean HUGE) ark around the building and parking area --which they used for their Vacation Bible School. Everyone in that area had to go and see the ark. It was awesome. (Wonder if it is still there?)

The little ark at the Christian School is neat also. Someone did a great job.

When I think of Noah and the ark---all I can think of is how it must have smelled in there... ha ha

Hugs,
Betsy

What a great play area and so much for them to learn as well.

I found both arks to be very interesting. I'm sure there were times when our kids were small that my wife wished she could send them to an ark for a few days (weeks).
