A Time To Seek

"I seek you with all my heart;
do not let me stray from your commands.
I have hidden your word in my heart
that I might not sin against you."
Psalm 119:10

A few days ago, we had our Easter egg hunt with Ella. As you can see, she could hardly wait to get out the door! In the last picture, she is showing her favorite find, a white baby tiger. She adored this hunt! For one thing, her favorite game is hide and seek, and she loves nothing more than having HERSELF found! Are you wondering where our granddaughter is? I was planning on giving her an Easter basket and having a hunt today, and posting pictures. But that was not to be. There was an accident in our family today, on Easter Sunday. It was not as dire as it could have been, and that's a blessing. Tomorrow I will tell you about it and show pictures. Then you will find out what a strange Easter day we had. By the way, the header is not in our yard. I snapped it passing by a neighbor's house.

"For this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I myself will search for my sheep and look after them. As a shepherd looks after his scattered flock when he is with them, so will I look after my sheep...I will search for the lost and bring back the strays. I will bind up the injured and strengthen the weak, but the sleek and strong I will destroy. I will shepherd the flock with justice." Ezekiel 34:11,12,16

Oh My Gosh----I hope everyone is okay, Ginny. Isn't it amazing how things can happen at the drop of a hat and life can change.... Yipes!!!!!

Cute pictures of Ella. She is such a cute little gal--and her family are lucky to have you taking such good care of her.

We had a wonderful day. Went to the Sunrise Service and the weather has been awesome.

Anxious to hear what happened in your family.
Hugs,
Betsy

Oh Ginny, that is not good news. I hope everyone is fine and not too shaken up. It sounds like your Easter was far from uneventful.

Ella is so cute, I love the photo of her opening up the eggs she found. She has the sweetest smile.

I too am anxious to hear what happened.

Hi Ginny: What a cute little girl--and in shirt sleeves no less. It must be warm in the valley!!

The flowers in the blue pot are hydrangea. I picked up two unopened blooms two weeks ago at Whole Foods. The lady said "put them in hot water to begin and they will last longer". I gave it a try and it worked. They opened beautifully and were perfect for the Easter table.

The fat little bunny isn't a cookie jar. He has been around for awhile and had his beginning filled with Easter treats.

I made the dinner and my husband made the strawberry shortcake. He makes delicious sweet biscuits as the base and is much more patient with that sort of thing than I am. It's the scientific side of him!!

See you soon!

Best,
Bonnie

Oh dear. I forgot to mention that I hope the accident wasn't too awful and all are o.k. I'll check back later.

Best,
Bonnie

I love the way you always find a way to include the word of the Lord in your posts. I have said a little prayer for your family.

Those are such nice photos of such a happy little girl.

Our 6 year-old gd hid the eggs this Easter and she watched with delight as we struggled to find them all. It was fun for all!

Hope that your accident was very minor indeed!

My word verif is 'shiblogr' today...very apt, I think.

Ginny, I hope everyone is OK! Sorry your day didn't go as planned, but I'm glad things are not worse than they are - whatever they are!

Little Ella is so cute and always looks so happy! And I love the egg tree in your neighbor's yard! So cheerful!

I like your seeking analogy. I'm so thankful He seeks us first and that He never tires of seeking. And as Christians we should never tire of seeking more of Him in our lives.
