A Clever Disguise

Yesterday we drove past a house that had these pretty tulips lining the walkway, and we stopped for me to take a picture of it. But when we got much closer, I saw that they were not really tulips, but cleverly disguised solar lights! And farther back in the yard, you can see they had a row of wooden butterflies. So nothing in the yard was really what it seemed to be. To see disguises even more clever than this than this , CLICK HERE.

my mother would have loved these. she was into all things fake flowers. once in the dead of winter we went to visit and I looked out her kitchen window and the azalea bush was glowing with wonderful pink flowers. I said MOTHER what did you do? she said she found all those flowers at a garage sale for only one dollar, so she wired each one on the bush. she would truly love these tulips

Hi Ginny, There's nothing I despise more than FAKE FLOWERS. But--since they are solar lights, I guess that is okay. But--I'd never choose them. I think they look cheap.

There's a yard here in the Glade where the people have fake flowers in their flowerbeds... GADS--they are no horrible.... Sorry--just my humble (not so humble) opinion... ha

Hope you have a wonderful Memorial Day.
Hugs,
Betsy

Ah, well. I've known people who varnished the rocks they had in their garden, too. Nature can always be improved upon in some folks minds.
I don't think I'd ever buy those solar lights, either. We've never seen any that held any bright after midnight.

False tulips seems to be popular. I don't know if you remember but I had some a while back too. But those were made of wood and not disguising any lights.

Well, I guess it take all kinds. It's interesting that they've disguised the solar lights in these ways. I'm glad you stopped to take a picture of the tulips.

That is a cute way to hide the solar lights but I'm not sure if I would put them in my garden. They would look interesting at night however.

The tulips certainly don't look real, but I bet at night they are pretty! One just can't improve on God's creations! But each is entitled to his or her own opinion!

The Big Cat

Not to be outdone by that upstart The Big Cow and his friends, the Big Cat bought a new Easter bonnet! It is purrrfectly lovely! And while ...
