Night Comes In

Night comes in like some cool river
How can there be another day
Take my hand, oh real companion
And we'll dance till we fade away

These words are from a Richard Thompson song "Night Comes In". And it was coming in when I took these pictures. I have posted many sunset pictures, and will continue to post more. I can't get enough. The most beautiful, stunning artwork there is, each night different, and all for free. So even if you cannot see pretty sunsets where you are, you can enjoy them here from time to time. It is a beautiful sight to watch the night come in.

On my bed I remember you;
I think of you through the watches of the night.
Because you are my help,
I sing in the shadow of your wings.
My soul clings to you;
Your right hand upholds me.
Psalm 63: 6,8

Hi Ginny, Like you, I can never get enough sunsets... I could watch them (and sunrises) every single day.. BUT--since we live down a big hill, we can't see the sunset --unless we drive somewhere to see it. SO--I'll enjoy yours!!!!!! Thanks for sharing.

I don't think I have heard that song.. But--I love the words. And your Psalm verses are wonderful!!!!! Thanks for sharing.
Hugs,
Betsy

Having lived on both the Pacific and the Atlantic, I've seen beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Here, in the midwest, they are hidden by the city. The reflections in the windows of tall buildings are quite spectacular though. And so, for my "city free" viewing, I depend on you. Lovely!

Best,
Bonnie

I have purposefully gone down to the ocean front a couple of early, early Summer mornings to watch the sun rise over the ocean. And I have been there to see the sun set in the west and the moon rise over the ocean. Even when the sun sets behind vast expanses of concrete and glass in the west, the eastern sky has such amazing colors of red and purple and gold. Still, I think the rising of the full moon in a clear sky over the ocean is my absolute favorite. The silver light playing on the water is like diamonds. I will try to get my daughter to go down to the ocean with me when she is here for Christmas. I think there is usually a sunset and a full moonrise within a half an hour of each other then.

Yes, they are beautiful. Right now I'm having sort of a hard time with the days getting shorter and shorter, though - reminding of winter ahead... (We had our first frost night here)

Beautiful sunset, Ginny!

I saw the most beautiful sunset tonight...but I was in the grocery store without a camera! We had a storm yesterday and the clouds were still very high and they turned bright shades of red and pink.

You would like Judy's blog ..she is a very pleasant person and writes quite a bit about her grandchildren and life on their farm. She is also a wonderful cook!

The edges of the clouds look amazing. Looks like lightning.

I use my big Chinese chopper for everything as it is faster and convenient.

My husband bought me a processor, but he expected me to put it away and keep the bench clean. I refused , and gave it to my sister. He had not asked where the processor is.

Who doesn't love sunsets? They are "the same but always different"... you always know what to expect and yet you are always surprised. They are predictable and yet always changing.
