Seekers

Every five years or so, our church updates it's directory, and we all get our pictures in it. Shortly after our last one was done, I walked into the fellowship hall and found this picture hanging on the wall. It's a picture of Jesus, with a magnifying glass hanging beside it. The sign says "Find Yourself In Christ". If you look closely, you will see that the entire picture is made up of tiny pictures of our church members, taken from the directory. What a wonderful idea to actually show Jesus in our church family! So I grabbed the magnifying glass and tried to find us. If you look through the glass, you will see that we are exactly halfway down it, second from the right. My last picture shows us in full size.

"From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. For in him we live and move and have our being." Acts 17:26,28

What an intriguing idea. I never would have guessed, from that first photo, what the picture was made of. Really sets one thinking.

What an amazing idea, you can't tell from a distance that it is a mosaic. Whoever put the picture together is very talented.

When I enlarged the photo I saw your picture.

That is a great new header shot Ginny.

And there you are! I've seen this done before but never using a church directory. That is very special!

No changing color here. I go out with my camera every day to capture fall but it still eludes me.

Best,
Bonnie

A fabulous post Ginny... Firstly I thought that the Jesus photo is of glass mosaic... But what an idea by the church, and the quote you gave. Well that was perfect:)

Hi Ginny,

You and I think alike. I don't now what the name of the flower is, but I thought the pock marks are like the chicken pock marks.

That's the most unique approach to church pictures I've ever seen. How clever of someone to place the members of church into the body of Christ that way! Love the idea.
