The Passing Storm

Till the storm passes over
Till the thunder sounds no more
Till the clouds roll forever from the sky
Hold me fast, let me stand
In the hollow of thy hand
Keep me safe till the storm passes by
Mosie Lister

This is a tiny fall decoration I put out every year. It is two little mice seeking shelter from a storm under a fall leaf. One of the mice is clutching his tail in fear as big water drops weigh the leaf down. But his companion comforts him. We, also, have a companion and comforter in the storms of life.

"When the storm is over, there's nothing left of the wicked; good people, firm on their rock foundation, aren't even fazed." Proverbs 10:25

Yes, we always have Him as our companion... We must keep our faith in Him always though, in good times and in bad times!!
Have a lovely week ahead:)

Hi Ginny, What a cute little decoration... We all do need each other, don't we? I always wonder what people do when they go through the 'storms of life' without God in their lives ---and without great friends and family...

Hugs,
Betsy

Oh, that is so sweet! Love the verse of Scripture that you've put with it. "Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty." We sure can take shelter from any storm with our Protector!

Sweet little figure. I would want it out all year.

I received a gift in the mail today from a friend in Australia. It's a pretty paper cross with Jude 24 imprinted on it. I had not read Jude so went to it and found this short benediction.

(24) Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy,(25)to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.

I love that song. Mosie Lister wrote some great ones.

I'm sorry you are sick. Inner ear infection is NO fun. You think you'll die before you get better.

Ginny, the song is one of my favorites! And I love the decoration, which is so perfect for the post!

I agree with Betsy, even when I was young and a Roman catholic because my parents were. i always prayed before I wrote my exams. I pray Mother mary tell me. Now, I am a Born again Christain, we pray, especiall when we go on long journies. If I am not feeling 100%, or when I have been rushing, I pay before I start the car.
