Mystery Destination

I went to a very special place the other day, and this is part of it. No, not a botanical garden, but something even more specific. Can you guess? The clue is in the flowers, do you know what they are? Maybe this will help. I'll be back tomorrow to tell you.

"King Solomon made for himself a carriage; he made it of wood from Lebanon...It's seat was upholstered with purple, it's interior lovingly inlaid by the daughters of Jerusalem."

I'm going to guess a Lavender farm too. But even if we are all wrong any place that has lavender and butterflies has to be a great place to visit.

What a lovely photo to wake up to, I like how you change your blog header, its always new.

Lavender?

Or it kinda looks like a plant I purchased while at the nursery but have no idea what the name is. Its tall and lanky and kinda looks like lavender.

Where ever you when or it is, sure is lovely.

Yes, they look like lavender... mine is blooming like this and while I haven't seen any gulf fritillary butterflies yet, the bees are getting drunk on this nectar.

I did find six monarch caterpillars and brought them inside to their safe house. One is still eating... the other five are in their J-hook position... one of them has already formed a chrysalis. Crossing fingers that I got them before any tachnid flies laid their eggs on them or the leaves they ate outside.

Wherever you visited, it certainly had some very pretty blue flowers. That butterfly just sets them off. They look like our Texas Bluebonnets.

You LOl when I tell you a use for lavender oil in New Zealand.pssst top NZ secret.
In your toilet cleaning routine , after using your usual cleanser, flush, in a spray bottle , one table spoon of lavender oil, to the rest of water, spray round the bowl.

They guarantee everything will slide down the bowl. You never have to scold," Who didn't sit in the middle of the seat?" LOL
