Decorations

Here are some of the decorations on our Christmas tree, this time without my reflection in them! There are many other different ones, but these showed up the best in the camera. The last two were made by our granddaughter. For the last one, she poured paint into a clear ornament and swirled it around. And in the picture before it, she used wagon wheel pasta, glued it together and painted it. So creative! When the bible tells us that God made us in his own image, I think part of that image is creativity. God is the ultimate creator, and we also like to create.

“This is the family tree of the human race: When God created the human race, he made it godlike, with a nature akin to God. He created both male and female and blessed them, the whole human race.”
Genesis 5

There are some people who think old things aren't good in a modern world, they use "not Earthquake safe" excuse. This was over-ruled, and they found ways to strangthen the building.

I love this place, so much character.

I didn't even realize the snowflake was made of pasta until I read your post. All of the ornaments are beautiful but I love that star in your header Ginny.

I couldn't possibly agree with you more, Ginny. I believe that desire to create is directly from His creation of us in His image. Like Parent, like child. ;) Your tree is just lovely. blessings ~ tanna

Hi Ginny, I love hand-made ornaments - especially those made by loved-ones and special friends. You have a lovely tree! Have an excellent evening and a nice Friday tomorrow!

Yes, that is a big tent for a house. I went to see it many times, I don't see people fixing it. Now is definitely not the right time to fix houses,

Today, 11th day, I see some sun. But in Nelson, they have giant clean up. Some residents compare it with a mini tsunami.

All of these ornaments are beautiful, but I like Anne Marie's the best. She did a marvelous job with both of these.

"How sweet and happy seem - those days of which I dream" Those lines came from an old song (not a Christmas one) but that's what came to mind as I thought how much fun you are creating for your grands. Beatiful ornaments, ALL!

Love all the traditions of Christmas and all the special ornaments that are full of precious memories. Really nice post as always.
To answer your question: We live in Northern California and Disneyland is in Southern California about 400 miles from our home.
Its a short 1 hour flight or about 7 hours on the freeway.
