Words

Pictures taken from my C.D. collection.

Smile an everlasting smile
A smile could bring you near to me
Don't ever let me find you gone
'Cause that would bring a tear to me
You think that I don't even mean
A singe word I say
It's only words, and words are all I have
To take your heart away
The Bee Gees

Robin is gone, and that does bring a tear to me. He is the second Bee Gee to die, after his twin brother. Now only one remains, Barry. The Bee Gees did indeed take my heart away with their words and their beautiful ballads and moving harmonies.  I bought the Bee Gees first album as a teenager and was hooked from then on, continuing to love them through being a bride, a young mom, middle aged, and now as a senior.  They continued to make beautiful music for decades. Only death has stopped their genius for songwriting. No more words from Robin. I hope he is listening to beautiful music.

“Blessed are you who give yourselves over to God... ignore what the world worships... Nothing and no one comes close to you! I start talking about you, telling what I know, and quickly run out of words. Neither numbers nor words account for you.”
Psalm 40:4,5

The Bee Gees made some beautiful music through the years. I first became aware of them with the movie Staying Alive. Although he was not a member of the group I also enjoyed the music of their younger brother Andy who died in the late eighties. Three of the Gibb brothers are now in heaven making beautiful music I'm sure.

It's so true Ginny that everything comes and goes - except God and His Word. I loved the Bee Gees too as a teenager - looking at your pictures brought a wave of memories! :)

Those these talented men did not use their God given talent to exalt the LORD with , their songs I for the most part did enjoy....they deposited within me or framed times at hand for my memories today to find a good place to visit through "looking back"....R.I.P. Robin

This is a beautiful tribute to Robin Gibb. The Bee Gees made beautiful music for many years. I doubt there will be another group like them. They will be missed.

I feel bad that two Bee Gee's have died. I have to say that for some reason I wasn't that in to them, but I did enjoy their music. Hopefully they will be making music in Heaven.
Love, sandie

That is why my daughter bought the expensive tickets. We would never go otherwise.
Antarctica is a public exhibition centre, they built the igloo for visitors. Can't remember who took the photo, I wish we had taken the whole igloo as well.
