The Coming Storm

The sky was windy, warm and bleak
As we watched this scene unfold last week.
These men were working hard to cover
While up above a storm did hover.
The sun set fast, the rain came at last
The covers pulled tight, their field safe for the night
See the rain in the distance in my last pic?
Can you guess what these men were doing so quick?
On my next post you’ll see the rest
The story of our latest quest.

“Soar high in the skies, O God! Cover the whole earth with your glory!”
Psalm 57

Those crazy storms back there. I wish we could get some of the rain. But I'm picky on how MUCH rain I want. When it never rains here, I don't know that I have a hole in the roof.

Can't wait to hear. Hope it didn't involve remote parking lots and.....! Love the photos, especially the last one.

when the header popped up I said out loud. great balls of fire... wow on that photo.
the first one i thought was left over snow, even when i enlarged it. it looks like a winter painting. then i saw they were covering crops of some kind. maybe tobacco?

If it were here,I would say they are protecting a crop from frost, but that is probably not your biggest worry.Great cloud shots.

Hi Ginny, thanks for visiting my blog. I have heard the new movie is very good.

Did you write that poem?

Ginny what are they covering the field with? Are you okay from the storms? sandie

Hard work but it is needed to save the crop. These people would have difficulties to go on holiday.

Greetings,
Filip

And there is a storm coming, according to His Word, we all need to be preparing by drawing near to Him, don't we?

Bet they were worried about HAIL.... Hope you/they didn't get any or have any damage... These storms can be horrible.

Beautiful pictures of the sky! I like when sky gets really bright before storm comes. I wonder what kind of plant these men are covering.

Praying and looking forward to your being patched up, pain-free, fully recuperated, and back to blogging! You have so many friends that I know you are being surrounded by prayer.

Your sky photos are gorgeous. Are they protecting plants from frost? It seems like the wrong time of the year for that.
