Through The Wires Thursday

It was last weekend when the sun came down low to the ground and was huge. The world became orange and yellow, and everything glowed. And we drove straight into it. Heaven will be even better than this, hard to imagine.

“The wall was jasper, the color of Glory, and the City was pure gold, translucent as glass. The foundations of the City walls were garnished with every precious gem imaginable: the first foundation jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald, the fifth onyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, the twelfth amethyst. The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate a single pearl.
The main street of the City was pure gold, translucent as glass. But there was no sign of a Temple, for the Lord God—the Sovereign-Strong—and the Lamb are the Temple. The City doesn’t need sun or moon for light. God’s Glory is its light, the Lamb its lamp! The nations will walk in its light and earth’s kings bring in their splendor. Its gates will never be shut by day, and there won’t be any night.”

Wonderful and amazing, this doesn't happen here. We do get a time when the moon is low but not the sun. How lucky you are to witness this beautiful spectacle.

you always manage to capture the most amazing sunsets. Not to mention when I take pictures that have power lines in them it seems to ruin the view but your only tends to enhance the look

What an amazing thought! No matter how beautiful the sunset,it is but a very small taste of the beauty that awaits us in Heaven.

We can't see the sunset from our home --and would have to drive somewhere to see it... BUT--today, we were on our deck and noticed how pretty the golf course fairway (behind our home) looked with the evening sun shining on it. See my FB post tonight.

Hugs,
Betsy
