The Dish

A month or so ago, we drove up a hill. The sun was very low and about to set. It made the side of this brick building light up. And the shadow of this huge dish fascinated me.

It was a momentary distraction from the real reason we had driven up here.

“You’ll forget your troubles; they’ll be like old, faded photographs. Your world will be washed in sunshine, every shadow dispersed by dayspring. Full of hope, you’ll relax, confident again; you’ll look around, sit back, and take it easy.”

Hi Ginny, what a beautiful sunset! The shadow of the dish reflected on the wall looked like a big umbrella. I like the colour too.

I can see why the shadow fascinated you, but oh, my goodness. I doubt I would have noticed had I had that view.

here in NZ, if you see a big dish like this, chances are it is a Chinese house.

Sometimes the sun casts the most beautiful image and you are blessed to notice them. It only lasts for seconds and those who take the time to look and see are very blessed.
