After The Fog

When the fog had lifted and we got back to town, this is what we saw! You all had some really good guesses! But it was the grand opening of an Aldis. They have been building it for many months. The sun was shining on all of it, and it was so pretty.

We went to the opening. You have to put a quarter in the cart in order to use it. Then you get it back after you are done. Also they have no bags, one way of saving money to bring down costs. Ours is a very tiny store. Have you ever shopped at Aldis? Do you like them?

“It’s important to look at things from God’s point of view. I would rather not see you inflating or deflating reputations based on mere hearsay.

Looks like gorgeous weather for the grand opening. We have an Aldi's here. Their prices on milk, eggs and bread are worth the trip! Enjoy your day!

We seem to have an Aldi's on every corner around here and I've shopped there a few times. Aldi's owns Trader Joe's where I love to shop!!

Best,

Hi Ginny! That balloon is going to get my attention! I love hot air balloons. I've never been up in one, but my husband and I went to the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta a few years back for our anniversary. So pretty!

We do have an Aldi's in the next town. We don't go too much, but it's a nice place. They have a lot of fun desserts and frozen dinners for a big group. No bags here either! Sometimes you can snag a box if they have just been stocking the shelves.
Hope you had a good time at the opening!

I think I've seen their signes somewhere but never been in the store. In fact, I had to google to find out what kind of store it is :-) I sure will stop by next time I see the store!

Aldi is one of the big budget chains in Europe. It is certainly not bad and it is a good business model.

Greetings,

We have a new Aldis and we like it for something's like candy from Germany.
We own only the lot our house is on, but we get to enjoy the view on the other side of the hedge row.

Love the blue and yellow balloons and flags! Yes, we have an Aldi's in the Big Town where I frequently shop. It's been there several years. I like their canned goods, produce and lots more. The only thing I've never bought there is fresh meat. I'm picky about where I buy meat so I won't buy WalMart meat, either. Just a quirk of mine, I guess. I usually just look for an empty box in the store to use or take my own grocery sacks when I go. You can save money on many items.
Have a great weekend! I'm keeping busy bottle feeding 2 wee kittens. Need a kitten? :)

We have Aldis here and back when I was feeding two kids I used to shop there quite often. I also liked to stock up on baking supplies there during the holidays.
Often when returning the cart I would meet someone on the way in who would give me their quarter for my cart.

Did you like it? We are supposed to get one here soon.

I've been shopping at Aldi since we lived in Orlando. We shop there regularly and save money! The family that owns Aldi also owns Trader Joe's. I think you will enjoy it.

We don't have an Aldis near me but we do have a supermarket that you have to put a quarter in the buggies to use them. Even though 25 cents is not much money, it does encourage shoppers to put the buggies back and not leave them all over the parking lot.

We have at least two Aldie's that I know of. We have been to the one closer to us. They are very reasonably priced. I first went to one in Germany when shopping with my family, and found the quarter in the cart different. When we find ourselves driving by one here we will pop in.

p.s. I like your photos of the balloon and streamers. That would certainly draw me in.

So festive! I love, no LOVE, Aldi. I don't do all of my shopping there but they have fabulous produce for dirt cheap prices and lots of other great things too. We eat much healthier because of Aldi. You just have to get used to the no-frills but it's worth it to me :)

I have not really got into shopping at Aldi. I really should check it out. Keep me posted on how you like it.
