Mimosa

There are quite a few Mimosas around here. One is near McDonalds, and it smells wonderful when we eat there. Mimosas are also called Sensitive Trees, because touching the leaves makes them curl up! But this post and the next one are really about whet we found IN the Mimosa. Something I had never seen in my life! You will see in my next post!

“Be gentle with one another, sensitive. Forgive one another as quickly and thoroughly as God in Christ forgave you.”
Ephesians 4

I love a mystery and you have our curiosity up! Your photos are gorgeous. The little individual blooms remind me of fireworks. We were happy to find two of these trees in our new yard, but they have already bloomed this year.
Have a nice evening.

At first look at your title, I thought it was the mimosa weed plant. Now I know this tree is call mimosa. I have seen this mimosa tree here and the flowers are pretty!

Mimosas are pretty ---but as I said on Facebook, they can be very invasive... My mother and Daddy had 2 of them in the yard --and had to keep digging up sprouts of new ones growing all over the yard.. She said that that wasn't fun... BUT--they are still pretty.

Hugs,
Betsy

They are stunning! I didn't know they curl up leaves when touched. That's very cute :-)
Love the bright pink color. Their flowers look like fireworks!

I look forward to you next post. Happy Friday!

They really pop!

I planted my comfrey, but I'm sure it must grow wild in some places.

So lovely Ginny. I remember as a child getting a kick out of touching the leaves and watching them curl.
