Glad All Over

Remember when I showed you a local yard with no grass, only flowers? Well, just a couple blocks from us is yet another house with no grass! Their front yard is very tiny, and all they have is Gladiola! Their entire yard is covered in them. Of course, this is the only time of year that it looks good.

“And the ransomed of the Lord will return And come with joyful shouting to Zion... They will find gladness and joy, And sorrow and sighing will flee away.”
Isaiah 35

“Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has chosen gladly to give you the kingdom.”
Luke 12

How pretty it looks. I remember my mother planting gladiolias. They weren't in large clumps like these and hers were always laying on the ground.

What a beautiful sight! I love these sweet pink gladiolias. I will be too attracted to the flowers that I wouldn't mind if there is no grass in the garden!

Beautiful - but as you say, for a limited time only :)

I love the title for this post :-) They are very pretty! It would be nice if they bloom like this all year long!

Wow, so beautiful. It's sad they can't bloom all year long. But then again, we wouldn't enjoy them as much, would we?

I sure like your flag post of freedom.
And great yard of flowers for as long as they last.

Pretty...but I think I hafta have grass/lawn too.

To answer your question Ginny, I think the middle butterfly is a Red Admiral...vanessa is the latin term. Go to Google and type in vanessa butterfly and see if you can find a similar photo of the same.

They are all so beautiful. I really like them but don't think about planting any until they are already blooming. I really like the variety of flower that you are showing.

I love it! I love, love gladiolus. I have three beds of them planted. I plant them in two week time from each bed, so I can have more blooms.
