The Waters

The sun finally came out today after a lot of rain! Quite a bit of the city is flooded. But I am so very thankful that we did not get near what our neighbors in North Carolina did. This picture is the ground where you saw the groundhog in my last post. The entire area is flooded, including any burrows. But I 'm sure he found high ground.

This little rest stop  was mostly under water.

A lot of people were out walking and taking pictures.

“The fire of love stops at nothing— it sweeps everything before it. Flood waters can’t drown love, torrents of rain can’t put it out. Love can’t be bought, love can’t be sold— it’s not to be found in the marketplace.”

I Am so thankful!!! Even aboard our ship - we stopped and prayed for you and Phil and others of our friends. Thank you for the update!! It could have been far worse and yet it was still so very devastating to so many. Continued prayers for all those affected......

this is just so sad, and I am so thankful you are ok in your home. I hope the groundhogs survived. I have seen on TV and on FB the horrors that are the Carolinas, and now this. it is heading for the NE dragging rain with it. NC is devsated and more coming in the next two days. still flooding and going much higher .. the rain left them but the run off is going so high in the next 24 hours they river flood gage doesn't go high enough to measure it. the highest is 24 feet and it is going higher.

Thank God you are safe. Hope the flood will subside too and work of cleaning and restoration will start as soon as possible.

That looks bad. I do hope everyone is safely on higher ground.

I'm glad you didn't get as much flood as NC but it's still a lot of water. My heart goes out to those who are affected. I hope they can go back to normal life as quickly as possible.

Ginny that is incredible sad. I am glad your house was spared. The only good thing is the love it brings out in people to help.
