Dinner Out

Because of the nice weather, today was the day we chose for my birthday outing in the nearby city of Harrisonburg. We shopped in several thrift stores and Goodwill, and ended the trip with a lovely dinner. Can you guess where?

Olive Garden! Our meal consisted of two appetizers. The first one was their unlimited soup.

The second one was Chicken Alfredo stuffed into pastry and deep fried, with two dipping sauces.

We finished the meal with frozen cappuccinos, a first for me!

As we drove away, there was something very pretty in the parking lot. That will be my next post.

“When you shake the olives off your trees, don’t go back over the branches and strip them bare—what’s left is for the foreigner, the orphan, and the widow. And when you cut the grapes in your vineyard, don’t take every last grape—leave a few for the foreigner, the orphan, and the widow.”

Wow...you've certainly whetted MY appetite! I haven't been to Olive Garden in years! (I go for their bread sticks)

I'm interested in what goodies you found at the thrift stores...anything?

so happy for you the weather allowed your birthday outing... I love frozen cappuchino and used to buy them for Bob and myself when he worked as a mechanic. I would go to Books a Million on my lunch hour and take him one while he worked...

Hey that was a wonderful place to go for a birthday dinner - I love it there. And good for you on the cappuccino. I guess that is why the wheat seeds were left for the poor to pick up as well - Ruth and Naomi.

One of my favorite places to eat. I guess I have a taste bud for Italian food. Glad your special day turned out so well.
