Double Sun Spots

The other day, I saw double sun spots for the first time. One on each side of the sun. Usually I see only one. These are called Sun Dogs, but I think Sun Spots is a more descriptive and pretty name, so that is what I call them. Their technical name is Parhelion. Look up near the sun in the late evening, and you can see them quite a bit!

“For here’s what God told me: “I’m not going to say anything, but simply look on from where I live, Quiet as warmth that comes from the sun, silent as dew during harvest.”
Isaiah 18

WOW! You got a great picture of these. Around here we usually see them in winter, or should I say, more so in winter than any other season.

Beautifully captured Ginny. I haven't noticed a sun spot for years, but then maybe I ought to start looking up at the sky in the evenings. Thanks for the tip :)
