Trumpeting

The Trumpeter Swan is back again! I think this is the same one that was here last year. He came to the exact same spot, and is the only one. The geese have their eyes on him.

But he pays them no mind. He has the same kind of tag that the one last year had.

Nighty night!

“It is imperative to maintain portions of the wilderness untouched so that a tree will rot where it falls, a waterfall will pour its curve without generating electricity, a trumpeter swan may float on uncontaminated water and moderns may at least see what their ancestors knew in their nerves and blood.”

They are so graceful looking. I bet it is the same one you've seen before since I hear they will return to the same spot every year.

the swan is so pretty, I don't think they come here. we get very few geese, but do see a few of them. we had a lot of honking over head last week.

I'm glad the swan is back, but it's sad that he's all alone.

A poem about it and everything. Ginny - what is the difference in the Trumpeter Swan and the others? It is beautiful! Does that mean winter is over?

Hi Ginny,
We have swans here in our area. That is new for us, in the past five years they have started to live in our area. They are beautiful.

That is very interesting . I wonder what the tags are all about.

Beautiful. And that quote is so true, but rarely considered necessary if thought about at all in our world. Everything has to be manicured and controlled.
