Saturday Spider

I have Arachnophobia, which means that I am terrified of spiders. I have been all my life. Too scared of them to even get close enough to kill them. Screaming and running away kind of scared. Except now that I am so old, it is screaming and limping quickly away. Coming into the house a few days ago, we saw this!

What a horrible shadow it threw! Any thoughts? You will have to wait for my next post for the rest of the story.

"The only thing we have to fear is fear itself...and spiders."

YIKES. It looks like a giant spider. I'm not crazy about spiders but I can live with them so long as they don't invade my personal space.

I am thinking daddy long legs and even though I know they are harmless I don't want them on me... back in childhood, boys always wanted to use these daddy long legs to chase girls. it is a creepy shadow.

My son has a phobia of spiders too, Ginny. When he sees one his ears get plugged, he can hear his heart beating in his ears, his face flushes and he starts to sweat. He's a big 6'5" tall but a spider can reduce him to a heap. So you are not alone, that's for sure, in your phobia. What a hard time of year for those of you who have this too. Love, Andrea xoxo PS~ My son, in addition to spides, has a phobia of anything with wings... except birds. Moths, flies, ladybugs, all that jazz. What a cross!

I don't like spiders but can deal with small ones. But the big ones...especially the very lively ones...shudder! That is a creepy shadow!

I thought grass, too...

It's either a very big spider or some blades of grass. I would vote for the grass.

Hi Ginny...to answer your question about why we have a Little Mermaid watch...its because we have been Disney collectors for over 25 years. Most of it is packed away still but we used to have an entire room (in our old house) dedicated to Disney memorbilia ...We are in the process of selling much of it now...well after the virus thing has calmed down.

I don't mind spiders at all. If I lived next door, I would smash it for you! That shadow almost looks like a walking stick but which isn't in the spider family. It also looks like a praying mantis hiding in some grass. I'm excited to find out what it is!!
