Porches Of The South - The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly

One thing about the porches around here; they are always interesting.
The Good

The Bad

Wow. Looks like a demo scene near the end.

Those last two are really something! I love the first ones.

hahaha... Ginny, you make it sound so hilarious! The Good, The Bad and the Ugly, the cowboy movie, right?

That's very funny ... We don't have anything like this here …
But we have real castles that are very old ... and we also have a royal family! (to answer your question!) Yes, we can also enter the castle ... In a next post I will show you photos from the inside.

The first few are great and I absolutely love that first one. I've seen a couple around here that look like the last two. I could never understand why anyone would want to have their front porch filled up with junk.

Why on earth do people live like the "ugly"? My first thought is rats! But that one on top is full of southern charm.

I want the pope black and white polka dot pillows but I want them in the black chairs that are hiding behind the post and the flowers. I love every single one of the good porches and I just like every single one of the bad porches and the last two are absolutely ahora! Horror. Not a hora

The ugly one looks like they might be working on the inside doing some remodeling. I love a front porch...or even back porch. Just love to sit outside to read, etc. We used to have breakfast outside but no longer do that.

Love these porches! I can't understand why someone with a beautiful, big porch would fill it with junk!

I know which ones that I like best. That was fun to see each different one.

Nice collection of porches. I like your title "The good, the bad & the ugly". I like the first and second porch.

We don't hae many front porches around us -- most houses have back decks. But 'the good, the bad & the ugly' apply to decks as well.

Oh my! It does amaze, how people can use their front porch, as a place to store *stuff*!!!!!

Seems that if they had to keep this *stuff,* they could find a place In-Back, to put it.

My Dream was always to have a wrap-around porch on my house.
I want to sit in a rocking chair and watch the world go by.
Wow, that last porch sure has enough "stuff" on it...how do they even get inside?

I enjoyed your porch pictures. We don't have a porch at this house but I have in the past. That super crowded porch may be worse than the ugly one! Yikes!!

The good porches were really lovely. I have a tiny one with one chair and an old milk container, I think it is. Nothing special and it doesn't face anything except fields.

For us here in the South, there is nothing better than a big ol' front porch with rocking chairs and a glass of Sweet Tea. However....our home does not have a big front porch, only a big back porch.

I planned on sending you a message about my big milk shake blender. My husband purchased it several years ago. Makes for some awesome shakes

How true your statement, porches are the lost rooms. thanks for the reminder to use them more, to visit others on their porch.

I would say that the last shot fits your quote perfectly. I would love a porch and it's interesting to see how people decorate them.

Nervous At Hobby Lobby

Next to our parked car at Hobby Lobby, we spotted these two cuties. They were clearly nervous and shaky. But then, when is a Chihuahua not ...
