The Faces

We saw these in a museum, art for sale.. Faces made from common tools. This one uses two different rakes.

This one uses wheels, corrugated tin, and chains.

“Whenever, though, they turn to face God as Moses did, God removes the veil and there they are—face-to-face! They suddenly recognize that God is a living, personal presence, not a piece of chiseled stone…Nothing between us and God, our faces shining with the brightness of his face. And so we are transfigured much like the Messiah, our lives gradually becoming brighter and more beautiful as God enters our lives and we become like him.”
2 Corinthians 3

Awesome Animals

Tonight, our two youngest granddaughters performed in a city-wide music camp program, "Awesome Animals."

Each letter of the title was the pattern of an animal.

A Funny Encounter

In the parking lot of Aldi's, we happened to park next to this car.

As I looked closer, it appeared that the entire car had been "wallpapered"!

This is the car handle. See how nicely it is done.

I had never seen anything like it. On the way out with our groceries, the owner of the car was putting his purchases inside! What luck! Turns out he is a travelling stand-up comedian. His name is Elvis Mujic. He has traveled to 47 states, performing for homeless shelters, detention centers, and mental health facilities. A strange and memorable encounter. He gave me these stickers.

Racing

On a previous post, I showed that we took our granddaughters for an outing on the last day of school. Huge ice-creams, thrifting, and to see the giant potato. But that was not all! We took them to the arcade. Beside the video games, they have kiddie race cars! I bet you remember seeing these race cars here before.

A smooth race never made a skillful racer.

Shoe Art

We found these in the art department of a community college. I have named them myself.

Where Was I?

Wonder why I was off on Saturday? Among other places, we went to a  Rose Festival at a local greenhouse.

Outside the doorway.

Inside the doorway.

Strangely enough, we did not see many roses. There seemed to be more vendors.

See any roses? I thought not...
