Happy New Year 2017

It is almost New Years Day! Are you watching the clock? Here are many to watch.

OWL be seeing you in 2017!

The Dog Days of summer are far behind us for awhile.

I hope the coming year is a gentle and kind one for you; full of joy, love, and small miracles.

The Mat

Anne Marie's Christmas gift may have been the largest and hardest we had to wrap ever! She was so excited!

It took both Phil and Anne to open it; here they are yanking at the paper!

It is an exercise mat! Anne goes to gymnastics three days a week, and she is very good! She can do double handsprings and all kinds of dangerous looking moves. She can now practice at home.

She spent the remainder of the evening doing gymnastics right here in the living room! I must say, just looking at her made me wince.

Whew, I am exhausted just looking at this again! I think I'll take aspirin and go to bed. Good night to all!

“Exercise daily in God—no spiritual flabbiness, please! Workouts in the gymnasium are useful, but a disciplined life in God is far more so, making you fit both today and forever.”

Christmas Day 2016

On Christmas day, happy kids came over in their P.J.'s! Here are some of the slippers they wore.

The two little ones were dressed alike.

But they soon turned into princesses!

I found this bear at Goodwill. He wears red boots and sings "These Boots Are Made For Walkin'" Jazz sat down with him and had a quiet talk and a hug.

She also hugged her new Lambie blanket & pillow.

Meanwhile, the older ones were practicing yo yo tricks.

Yes, Anne Marie was here too! My next post will be about her enormous gift!

Little Jazz had some fun on Grandpa's lap.

After the games and food, as the day got later, it was time for silliness.

After such a big day, it was time to go home and to bed.

“Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen.” ~Author unknown

Christmas 2016

Wishing the best Christmas ever to all my wonderful blog friends! Peace.

The Upside Down Peacocks

I came across these upside down Christmas trees! A couple of them are peacock trees. I love the peacock theme, but not so much the upside down aspect. Did you know that in medieval times, peacock and boar were eaten on Christmas day? It wasn't till Henry the 8th ate poultry one Christmas that things changed.

A peacock kaleidoscope!

“The king’s ships, manned by Hiram’s sailors, made a round trip to Tarshish every three years, returning with a cargo of gold, silver, and ivory, apes and peacocks.”

Jesus & The Stork

Well, what do you know. Looks like someone around here believes that Jesus was delivered by the stork! And a pumpkin was also present to welcome him. They must attend a very interesting church...

No, I do not like this any better than you do. But I figured you would never believe me unless I posted it!

Penguins & Polar Bears

Around here at Christmas time, penguins and polar bears are really popular! They are everywhere! Here are a few around town.

Unlit & Lit
