You Have To kiss A Lot Of Frogs

To find a prince. I've already got my prince. Most of these guys are looking to be kissed. Which one would YOU kiss?
The little one is croaking a love song.

The Three Frog Amigos.

He wears a pretty jeweled color.

This dude is real square.

Frog Vader. No wonder he needs a wife.

This one already is a prince.

And this one appears to be the Frog Princess.

“Aaron stretched his staff over the waters of Egypt and a mob of frogs came up and covered the country.”

The Moon And The Dog.

The full moon is Thursday. I will not be able to snap it then, because it is to rain until Saturday. So tonight when the sky was clear, I snapped a couple close ups.

And while I was at it, I snapped Sirus, the Dog Star. It is the brightest in the sky right now, and is blue. But it will flash different colors at times. In ancient Egypt, it's name meant sparkling or scorching. It was associated with their God Osiris. The straight edge is part of our car.

“This is what the wheels looked like: They were identical wheels, sparkling like diamonds in the sun.”
Ezekiel 1

Fanciness

Spring is almost here! Here is some of the fanciness it has brought in the past.

The Closing

Two weeks ago, I showed you the opening ceremony of The Olympics. Now I will show you the closing ceremony. It was all so beautiful that I snapped 145 pictures!! So it took quite awhile to narrow it down. So for those who did not see it, here it is!

“You’ve all been to the stadium and seen the athletes race. Everyone runs; one wins. Run to win. All good athletes train hard. They do it for a gold medal that tarnishes and fades. You’re after one that’s gold eternally.”

The Ruling Class

We saw these in an art gallery, and they fascinated me! Animal/human. Or human/animal. This fox with horns is my favorite.

“In that day I will make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, the birds in the sky and the creatures that move along the ground. Bow and sword and battle I will abolish from the land, so that all may lie down in safety.
Hosea 2

P.S. The results of my scan show I have diverticulitis again. Thankfully no abscess! Thank you so much for your kind words and prayers!!

Local Characters

We live in a beautiful small valley surrounded by mountains. But, like most places, we do have some real characters. These are pictures I have snapped at different times. It was not Halloween, these people were just seen walking around town. Do you have any oddballs where you live?

A bit of extra protection.

Hmmm...

Hansel & Gretel perhaps?

You can draw your own conclusions here.

The chief wing nut.

Who knew that Superman travels by scooter now...

Miss America?

The Grim Reaper and some of his cohorts.

Yellow camouflage. These two words do not go together.

"The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
1 Samuel

P.S. Still waiting for the doctor to call. That has to be good.

Home!

After my C.T. Scan yesterday, they let me come home! I am now waiting for the doctor to call with the results. I am thinking it can't be that bad, or I would have known much sooner. Feeling happy today!

Sick

I am having a C.T. Scan today. Depending on the results, I may have to be admitted to the hospital. I might have an abscessed colon.  So if you don't see me in awhile, you will know what is going on. I will not have a computer with me, but will let you know as soon as I can.

Slime

What is going on in the kitchen? Let's take a peek...

It's Anne Marie! And she is really concentrating, because she is making SLIME! Slime is kind of like Silly Putty, but softer and prettier.

Among the pre-teens around here, making your own slime is all the rage. The girls even take it to school with them.

Meanwhile, Jazz got ahold of the goofy glasses.

There are many different recipes for slime, all different colors and even clear. But it is NOT slimy! It feels smooth, puffy, and soft.

The yellow one is even edible!

Meanwhile, the little ones decided to make Cootie Bugs. The bugs watched silently while the slime was made.

“Ever since we crawled out of that primordial slime, that's been our unifying cry, "More light."  Sunlight.  Torchlight.  Candlelight.  Neon, incandescent lights… “
 ~Diane Frolov and Andrew Schneider

Garage Greetings

Want to know why this is so different? It's a garage door! This is the latest Christmas decorating thing around here.
