The Black Bunny

Look who we found grazing in the grass yesterday! I have never seen a black bunny before. We have lots of wild grey ones, but I think the black must be a fancy breed for pets. Perhaps Darth Vader is lurking around.

Bye for now!

The Best Of The Best

There are lots of Dogwoods blooming in our neighborhood now. But I think this is the prettiest of all the pink ones. It is about three blocks away. Are there any where you are?

E-I-E-I Oops!

This evening we went to Dara's school play. She was Old McDonald's wife. It was called E-I-E-I Oops!

Here are all the kids on stage. It was only two kindergarten classes!

I sat in the front row with Dara's little sister on my lap the entire time! She smelled wonderful. Snapping a play with a child on your lap is a learning experience.

Here are the chicks.

The sheep.

And the rooster.

And of course there is always at least one who is way too scared.

Dara did a great job, and is a natural. I did wish she was not wearing that huge bonnet!

And after it was all over and the stage was dark, of course Jazz had to get up on stage just like her big sister did!

The Sequins

I walked into church one day earlier this month, and saw this hanging on the wall.

They are sequins sewn onto fabric. BUT they are double sided, a different color on each side. So you can make words or designs by flipping them over. Like this.

Some of the designs during the week.

I played with them, and wrote my name and this.

On Easter Morning, here is what they looked like.

“I looked, and I saw beside the cherubim four wheels, one beside each of the cherubim; the wheels sparkled like topaz.”

Tripped Up

Though it was fun spending the weekend with Dara, my foot really hurt with each step. In fact, I was limping badly. Several days before, I had tripped and twisted it going into church (not the sweet one in my header). At first it was O.K. but as time went on, it got worse and worse. So today I went to the foot doctor. Sprained ligament. I am taped and booted. It will be hard to not do any cooking, cleaning, or laundry! But I intend to have willpower. Bwa ha ha ha!!

The Weekend With Dara!

We had a wonderful weekend with our granddaughter! First thing, we made mint donuts!

Then we went to a free event with face painting and bouncy houses!

Kitchen bowling followed!

This was followed by winning her first ever game of Cootie, and playing the electric drums.

During rests and at bedtime, Sunny snuggled with her.

Sunday morning started with breakfast, then she got herself ready for church. Including fixing her own hair and getting dressed.

She was so excited with our church that she came home dancing and spinning around. Someone gave her two bags of M&M's!

By late afternoon, Phil, Sunny, and Dara were all just a wee bit tired. But I had to remain alert to take pictures!

“You’ll see your children grow up, your family lovely and lissome as orchard grass. You’ll arrive at your grave ripe with many good years, like sheaves of golden grain at harvest.

Happy Weekend!

I will not be visiting on Saturday, and maybe not Sunday either. Our granddaughter is spending the weekend with us! So of course, she will get my full attention. I will return in a day or two, maybe with pictures! Till then, here are some beautiful pictures of the sky I took. Happy weekend!!
