When I next looked, oh! Above the dome over
the heads of the cherubim-angels was what looked like a throne, sky-blue, like a sapphire!

The Blues
The sunset was beautiful this evening. And this was part of it, way over to the side. Let's watch the blue clouds over the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Saturday Sunflowers
I love sunflowers, and have always wanted to grow them. But the front and side of our house do not get much sun. But when we saw that our next door neighbor was growing them in her front yard, we thought we would try it!! On Friday we went to the garden center, and picked one out!
We had a bit of a time fitting it into the car, but finally got it home.
Here is the spot we put it, in our tiny wildflower garden by the back door.
Phil planted it right away, while I took pictures through the kitchen door.
Simba was very interested as well, every once in awhile looking back at me as if to ask what was going on. Now we wait and see if it likes it's new home.

shadow. It’s what sunflowers do."

The Trampoline Sunset
As we drove the girls home from our day of trampoline fun, I saw in the rear view mirror that the sun was setting.
So after we dropped them off at their house, we drove up on the hill to watch the show.
“That’s how God’s Word vaults across the skies from sunrise
to sunset, Melting ice,
scorching deserts, warming hearts to faith.”

Head Over Heels
Look who is in our car yesterday! We took the girls to a new trampoline park. We had a day of fun.
We drove through the mountains.
The trampoline park had a homemade ice-cream parlour, so that was first.
Anne Marie is such a good big sister. She gave up her own jumping time to help her sisters!
The swings & foam pits were especially fun!
They went head over heels in love.
Afterward we went to McDonalds
Then to Krispy Kreme donuts. They had their hot donut light on! The end of a perfect day! Well, not quite yet. Wait till you see the sunset on my next post!!!
“I’m thanking you, God, from a full heart, I’m writing the book on your wonders.
I’m whistling, laughing, and jumping for joy; I’m singing your song, High God.”
Psalm 9

Wisteria
The wisteria around here is s stunning! But it can actually pull down trees and damage houses if left uncontrolled. They are a strong vine! The blossoms are edible and taste good. They symbolize good luck in a new marriage.
I did not take this last picture; I found it on the web. But I just HAD to include it!
All marriages are happy. It's the living together afterward
that causes all the trouble.

A New Caterpillar In Town!
Remember the snowman and then the Easter bunny I showed you previously? They were in front of a local barber shop. I had thought they were made of pillows. But no, they are made from sandbags that were left over from the last flood scare.
Well, now they have used the sandbags to make a caterpillar! You can tell they have used the bunny face.
The lady who makes these told me she wants to try a groundhog! She is looking for the right face to give him.
Any caterpillar who tried to
"know himself" would never become a butterfly.

When Pigs Fly
For some reason, there are a lot of flying pigs around here. All sizes and colors, and all flying.
"I like pigs. Dogs look up to us. Cats look down on us. Pigs treat us as equals."
