Halloween 2023

This evening the family came over, and I had fixed up a little tablescape with goodies.

Jazz & Dara were Little Bo Peep and Barbie.

Here is the family as they were leaving.

Here I am with our son and the granddaughters.

And here I am with Phil in the photo.

DraCOWla

 Meet:

The Big Cow has finally got his Halloween costume all sorted and is ready for some action!

He has brought his bat friends along with him.

So be very careful when you go out trick-or-treating. If you hear a soft MOO behind you, run for your life!

Sunday Sunset (a bird at sunset)

A bird at sunset Flies across the orange sky Free and beautiful

It sings a farewell song To the fading day and light Grateful and peaceful

It finds a cozy nest To rest its weary wings Safe and comfortable

It dreams of tomorrow When it will soar again Happy and hopeful.

I asked A.I. to write a poem about a bird at sunset. This is what it came up with.

THE House

You all know the house by now. They re-paint it and decorate it lavishly for every holiday. But Halloween may be the most outlandish of all. Two photos show the lady of the house snapping it and the little girl who lives there. Think she has nightmares? She is so little!

And after dark. Plus the spider web is all lit up.

They keep changing it and putting more stuff out. Every time we pass it, there is some little difference.

Wild Violets

The wild Violets are growing in yards everywhere now! They are so sweet. We have quite a few in our yard, and I hate for them to be mowed d...
