Computer Update.

I got my computer back from the shop today, and it cannot be fixed. The motherboard is failing and it could totally quit at any time. It is so old that you cannot get a new motherboard. So we will be going shopping for a new computer this week. If you don't hear from me at any point, it is because this one quit beofre we could find a new one.

Computer Problems Again!

It seemed like the repair people had fixed my computer. But it has started turning off again. I will have to take it to the shop and leave it tomorrow. I'll be back when it is fixed, I hope soon!

Lights In The Night

This evening we passed these orbs in front of a local house. On a closer look, they are covered in butterflies!

Then I noticed how many houses had lights all over! I know this was a thing during the worst of covid, but don't know why all these lights are on during the deepest winter. I like it, though!

And these are all within only about three or four blocks!

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

In The Air Tonight

This evening the sky was clear, and the moon was in a line with Venus and Jupiter. I tried to get a shot.

Too distant! My hands shook in the next shot, resulting in many moons.

Stll a bit of a shake, but you can see the crescent moon, and the entire moon in shadow. Kind of cool.

Night is black silk studded with the sequin-glint of stars. It is ebon atmosphere and phosphor-green planets; it is the stillness of dead space and the immensity of unreached dimension.

I Always Feel Like Somebody's Watching Me

 Ever get that feeling?

Hanging On

The Garden Center had these cute little animals that hang onto the edge of your flower pots. I was tempted, but did not buy any.

Gone Fishing

Come with me, and let's spend a few quiet and peaceful minutes watching this Blue Heron fishing.

Wait! He GOT something!! But...it's just a stick. Some days just aren't worth the effort.

The Contender

Remember when I told you that there is now a new challenger to the Big Cat? Well, here he is. He is The Big Cow! Trying to muscle in on the Big Cat's territory. But of course cats are way more clever than cows, so I wouldn't worry too much...

Where Have I Been?

My computer kept shutting down, so I had to take it to the computer shop. This is why I have not visited or posted. Not sure if it is really fixed, it has already tuned off once. We shall see. I will be visiting and posting again as soon as I get my e-mail and church work caught up. See you soon!

The Big Cat

The  Big Cat is all dressed and ready for Valentine's Day!

But wait! There is a new guy in town, a competitor to The Big Cat! I think he wants to muscle in on the Big Cat's territory. I will be posting him next.

“Owners of dogs will have noticed that, if you provide them with food and water and shelter and affection, they will think you are God. Whereas owners of cats are compelled to realize that, if you provide them with food and water and affection, they draw the conclusion that they are God.”

Sunday Sunset

The gods had a picnic supper to-night
Sitting around a blazing fire—
I saw the smoke and rosy flame
Over in the west.
I wanted to watch them, but as I went nearer
They let the fire go out.

Houses With Heart

There are quite a few houses in our neighborhood that have decorated for Valentine's day.

This house even has a flag and mailbox.

This is our next door neighbor. See the little furry visitor?

You may remember when I have posted this bush. They use the ugly side to hang seasonal decorations.

Odd Cars

We happened across this cheerful little yellow car in a parking lot.

I peeked in, and even the dashboard was yellow! Something I have never seen.

This car looks like it may belong to a family of bears!

And finally this one. It says "Vanpire", spelling the word wrong and using a N instead of a M.

Kroger

We ran to Kroger today to pick up a few groceries. Come with us! But it is not groceries we will be looking at. They had so many Valentine things! They really do it up right for holidays, and this year was no different.

The first thing I saw was this little dog in a cage. His sign said.. don't forget Valentine's day or you will be in the dog house.

And then there were the gifts!

The Eiffel Tower theme was big, and they had more than one. This one was lit up.

Squishmallows!

I picked up these two for Jazz's birthday later this month.

By now I had forgotten what we had come in for. Oh wait, they actually sell groceries as well!

Into the Green

While making a trip over Afton Mountain for a doctor appointment, I was fascinated by the beautiful green. The way the sun was shining on ...
