Our pain clinic's mascot and secretary, Scully, is all dressed and ready for summer and the 4th Of July. His little dog is helping check patients in.
He has put a pink flamingo and a palm tree by his plant.

My awesome header was created by The Mad One herself. There is nothing tech that she cannot do!! Here are some things I have out for The Fourth Of July.
Kitchen windowsill.
This is on the microwave.
I drew this for a really skinny wall in the kitchen.
A card sent to me by my wonderfully creative blog friend Ann.
Living room bookcase.
Kitchen cabinet.
On the T.V. stand
These Hydrangeas are about three blocks away. Strangely enough, they are not in the yard behind the fence. They are in front of the fence by the roadside.
I finish my Cherry Blossom posts with the student art and Pink Tie Ball. First is the art.
And to finish the day, the Pink Tie Ball.
The night ended with fireworks.
“The notion is called wabi-sabi
life, like the cherry blossom, it is beautiful because of its impermanence,
not in spite of it, more exquisite for the inevitability of loss.”
— Peggy Orenstein
Today for part two of the Cherry Blossom Festival, I will show the large building projections and the floats.
Building Projections:
“The Japanese school year
begins in spring. So mothers can send off their children as cherry blossoms
fall from the branches.”
— Cathy

Do you know about the yearly Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington D.C.? The trees were a gift to us from Japan. Anyway, decades ago it was mostly a kind of small local thing. But NOW, it is so huge! People from all over the country attend, and it is a big event. So come with me as we watch in on our T.V. and get an idea of what goes on.
“I have a pretty good
memory, but memories are time beings, too, like cherry blossoms or ginkgo
leaves; for a while they are beautiful, and then they fade and die.”
— Ruth Ozeki
Waiting in line at the drug store drive-thru, I saw this tree at the edge of the parking lot. Wow, it really amazed me with it's color ...
