The Horse Barns

 I like this yellow and red beauty. What else makes it unusual is that it sits at the very edge of a cemetary.

This one is not as colorful or modern, but I love it's rustic beauty.

I think he wishes one of these was his home.

The essential joy of being with horses is that it brings us in contact with the rare elements of grace, beauty, spirit, and fire.

Sunday Sunset

 A sunset that I snapped in May.

“They who dwell at the ends of the earth stand in awe of Your signs; You make the sunrise and the sunset shout for joy.

Prickley

I sure did what this quote commanded when we came across this tree. These little brown balls are so intricate. They are God's tree decorations!

Cats & Computers

 I don't know if I have ever posted a cartoon, but I couldn't help myself this time. This just tickled me so much. A few years ago, our son left his laptop open and went to bed. Their cat threw up, and of course did it all over the laptop. They had to get a new keyboard.

Here is one of our cats that loved the computer as well. He is no longer with us, but was a loveable rascal.

“The problem with cats is that they get the exact same look on their face whether they see a moth or an axe-murderer.”

The Kitchen

 Ella at The Style Of Miss T challemged me to post my kitchen, so here it is. It is a lot of pictures, and kind of boring. But I do enjoy looking at bloggers' rooms. We'll start with the kitchen table.

My little tiered seasonal tray.

Display shelves.

Coffee corner.

A gingerbread man on either side of the sink cabinets.

I put this backsplash up using stickers that look like tiles.

This little shelf is on the side of the fridge. It is magnetic! The magnet is very strong, and I can fit quite a few little jars on it. Amazon has it for quite cheap!

Beside it is my Pioneer Woman shelf & drawer set.

My very skinny basket shelves, which is supposed to be baby nursery furniture.

The window over the sink.

Walks to the kitchen for a glass of water. Comes back with a bowl of M&Ms.

Good Balance

 The other day, we happened to drive by a couple of Canada Geese. They were standing on one leg and sleeping. I read somewhere that birds stand on one leg to keep the heat in their body better.  But I have no idea how they can sleep on one leg. They posed nicely for me.

A flock of geese leave their lake and take wing, turning to poems in the sky.

Sunday Sunset - Eyes In The Sky

I took these photos of the sun setting over a silo several years ago. It occured to me that the holes in the clouds look like eyes in the sky. It reminds me of how God always sees us and is watching over us.

Lord, You have searched me and known me.
You know when I sit down and when I get up;
You understand my thought from far away.
 You scrutinize my path and my lying down,

And are acquainted with all my ways.
Even before there is a word on my tongue,
Behold, Lord, You know it all.
You have encircled me behind and in front,
And placed Your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
It is too high, I cannot comprehend it.

       Where can I go from Your Spirit?
Or where can I flee from Your presence?
If I ascend to heaven, You are there;

If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there.

       If I take up the wings of the dawn,
If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea,
 Even there Your hand will lead me,

And Your right hand will take hold of me.

Dubious Rides

 As seen around town, really!

How did this even GET where it was going?

Really?

A mystery to me.

I can't see this towing ANYTHING.
