Gone Crackers

We made another trip to Cracker Barrell. Phil loves these Pecan Rolls that are filled with nougat.

While there,we saw this unusual Last Supper water globe.

And can you guess what these cute hedgehogs are? They are on the tops of pencils!

This Christmas clock was TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS! I'm not kidding. The tree in the front revolves around , but that is the only special thing I saw about it.

I did buy this sweatshirt, as I love foxes! It was a reasonable price as well.

Asters

The Asters are here, in all their purple glory! I think this must be one of the most pretty fall flowers that is kind of ignored.

The bees sure don't ignore them though.

Starry blooms in twilight’s glow,

Purple whispers soft and low.

Last to bloom, yet first to charm—

Asters wrap the fall in calm.

Fall Living Room

Here are the things I put out in the living room for fall. I will post the kitchen at another time.

I got this candle at Dollar Tree!

Sunday Sunset - A Bit Of Drama

 The sunset was really pretty.

But it was not my main point of interest this evening. The kids from across the street were playing in the gazebo.

When mom called them all in at sunset, they were not happy. This one lagged way behind.

Finally on the porch, they protested loudly.

As you can see, mom was getting more and more aggravated.

See the little girl peeking out from behind the door? I think she was trying to slip back out, but decided against it!

And so it goes at a Sunday Sunset on a school night...

“At twilight, the sky whispers bedtime, but children hear adventure—chasing shadows, fireflies, and every last golden minute before the stars take over.”

Fall Fun

A few weeks ago, our local garden center had their annual customer appreciation day. And we were able to go! This was the driveway going in.

It was all held outside. They had hay rides.

And pretty fall flower arrangements.

The vendor's booths lined each side of the parking lot.

One had these cute socks folded to look like little animals.

These animal scrubbers really tempted me.

Believe it or not, the was a Christmas wreath! See the nutcracker?

Not sure what this was!

This booth was full of fall things.

There was a goat feeding station.

And these cute owl garden stakes.

On the way out.

Mums in bloom and pumpkins stacked,

Hay bales lined and scarecrows packed.

Crisp air hums with cinnamon cheer—

The garden center shines this time of year.

The Nosy Neighbor

Our next-door neighbor's pumpkin patch is still doing well.

And they have this cute Jack 'O Lantern made from flower pots on their front porch.

By now I'm sure you have guessed that the nosy neighbor is ME. But only for your viewing enjoyment!

They have a nice little flower bed, I thought this was the prettiest flower.

And their fall flag is gorgeous, especially with flowers growing around it.

And there is also some action, as they have a birdfeeder. Here is the boss of the birds.

Behind the blinds, she takes her post,

 Knows who’s late and who’s a ghost.

She’s not rude, just well-informed—

 A one-woman newsstand, perfectly adorned.

November 1st 2025

As usual on the first day of the month, I am posting the new calendar photo. The pumpkins sleep, the moon slips low, A hush drapes trees ...
