After A Rain

This was the sunset earlier this week. For some reason, sunsets are much more beautiful right after it rains.

Perhaps these people were renovating their bathroom? The tub is beautiful, but the potty is another thing altogether...

Bike Wall

Welcome to the bicycles of Charlottesville! This mural was painted on a large curved wall beside a busy highway. It was painted by four artists and several volunteers, and it took four days. I see something different each time we pass it.

 “Anyone who can read this writing on the wall and tell me what it means will be famous and rich—purple robe, the great gold chain—and be third-in-command in the kingdom.”

Stripes

It rained this evening. As always, the sunset is so much more beautiful after rain. Here are the pictures in the order that I snapped them. Brilliant blue and pink stripes.

The Fireworks

Come along and watch the fireworks that we set off for the Fourth Of July. They were great!

The kitties were frightened, and would peek around the basement door every once in awhile.

But when the fireworks were over, they got a lot of comforting!

“But his cloud-brightness burst through, a grand comet of fireworks. Then God thundered out of heaven; the High God gave a great shout.”

We ate red, white, and blue rocket pops

And we had sparklers!

Flag At Sunset
