Accidents Will Happen

We were driving home from he grocery store when we happened upon this. Seems a guy was speeding down the street, hit a parked car, became airborne, and lit partially on the roof of a house. The car he hit was pushed into the yard and crushed under him. No one was in the house or the crushed car. Believe it or not, the driver WALKED away! He is being charged with driving on drugs.

“On the roof, it's peaceful as can be
And there the world below can't bother me.”

CAROLE KING, GERRY GOFFIN

“Accidents will happen
We only hit and run
I don't want to hear it
'Cause I know what I've done.”

Elvis Costello

“No one can predict misfortune. Like fish caught in a cruel net or birds in a trap, so men and women are caught By accidents evil and sudden.”
Ecclesiastes 9

oh my goodness, just like in an action movie! Going airborne and came crashing down on another car and not injured, he is really given a second chance in life! Thank God no one was in the other car or in the garden... really terrifying..

the most amazing thing of all is that no one was hurt, but the house and cars are a mess... great photos, you should email to your locan paper. I once took a pic of upside down SUV in the intersection we were sitting at, emailed it and they published it with my name as photographer.

It is amazing how someone can not be hurt in a situation like this. What a blessing no one was home or in the other car.

What a relief that no one is hurt and no one was in the house or in the parked car or anywhere around when the accident happened. Really unbelievable that the driver wasn't hurt after such a accident.

Oh my goodness Ginnie, what a sight. Very happy no one was hurt. Years ago we drove through our neighborhood and came across a car halfway in a house. There again no one was hurt. Speed and inexperienced high schoolers were the cause of this one. The poor owners came home to a gaping big hole in their front room. Speed bumps were installed at several locations and they seem to have done the trick.

Omigosh! I'm so glad that no one was hurt!

Ginny, I'll answer your questions on my post here. Yes, I can read, it's annoying to have that spot, but my good eye keeps me reading pretty well. And yes to the question if the frame and shelf came attached to the mirror. My daughter got it on sale at Hobby Lobby and I wish I'd seen it first! :)
