All About ME!

I got home from the hospital last night. I have five incisions in my abdomen. I had a lot of hemorrhaging, and they had to put me in I.C.U. and give me blood transfusions. I have trapped air in my body from the surgery. It is painful, and hinders movement, but should go away in about a week. I have both P.T. and O.T. coming to the house. They even had to show Phil how to get me in and out of bed so my stitches won't stretch! I would love to show you a picture of my tummy, but that would be taking my photography hobby just a bit too far. I am very weak and have trouble eating, so I will not be visiting or posting for a few days until I am doing better. Thank you ALL for your prayers, cards, and good thoughts!! I hope to see you soon!

Hi Ginny, so good to get a post from you telling us how things are.
When Tom was in Hospital recently he was in I.C.U. for 3 days, its a very worrying time, but like Tom I know you'll come through okay.
He also didn't feel like eating and I was worried but every day made a difference and he's fine now, just like you will be.
The scars will fade and you'll be able to get out that bikini again, LOL
Here's to a speedy recovery and more of your lovely photographs.
Lot of Hugs.

SO GLAD to see you posting again, Ginny, and to hear you are alright!

I shouldn't smile at "trapped air," but...but... if I am feeling a little too curvy I may blame it on trapped air. Is that ok to say here? :)

Praying for you and looking forward to when you get back in the swing of things!

Good to know you're back home and getting appropriate help - and still in possession of your usual sense of humour. Now be a good patient - as in don't be too impatient... ;) Lots of love to you from across the ocean!

Oh (((((((Ginny)))))))), it's so wonderful to "hear your voice" here on your blog once again. I'm so sorry you had to have this surgery, with the complications especially, but it sounds like you're on your way to recovery. You will remain in my thoughts & prayers. Just write when you can, even if it's a couple sentences to update us on how you're doing, and concentrate on getting well once again. Much love, Andrea xoxo

Oh Ginny....I have had you in my prayers...I had just a small portion of my colon removed a couple years ago and I know how difficult this surgery can be. You take care of yourself and let everyone around you help as much as possible. My prayers continue for a speedy recovery.
