Lilies: the Deep Pinks

My mystery bird of yesterday was a common Barn Swallow! I think he was a baby. A hard one to guess; only Ruth got it right. Well done, Ruth!!

The lilies of the field,'—dressed finer than earthly princes, springing-up there in the humble furrow-field; a beautiful eye looking-out on you, from the great inner Sea of Beauty!”

Congratulations to Ruth. The baby’s deeper color confused me. I need to learn more of those baby birds. Gorgeous flowers Ginny! So vibrant and that last shot is a great macro.

I love the lillies but can't have any around because they are poisonous for the cats.

not sure if I have ever seen a barn swallow, Ruth does know her birds. these lilys are gorgeous, mother loved lilies. and grew them in her yard. this just made me remember the mint that grew in the box under her kitchen window. I loved to crush the leaf in my hand and sniff it.... thanks for the memory
