Patience

Hope is patience with the lamp lit. ~Tertullian

Here is our sweet Sunny watching Phil eat a plate of vanilla ice-cream on a waffle. He never mewed. He never put a paw out. He never lunged at the dish. He stayed on the end table and watched each bite. If there was anyone around who was going to jump Phil for the ice-cream, it was me. Fortunately, he was not bothered by either of us. Sunny is our sweet boy.

“Be patient with each person, attentive to individual needs. And be careful that when you get on each other’s nerves you don’t snap at each other. Look for the best in each other, and always do your best to bring it out.”

Guitar Art

Guitars are a big thing around here. These paintings were done by school children in the art department. Many look like adult paintings! The first one clearly has a Picasso influence.  I also snapped a storefront with neon guitars, a neon guitar clock, and two guitar cakes. Can you play any instruments, and if so, what?

Use guitars to reinforce your Hallelujahs! Play his praise on a grand piano! Invent your own new song to him; give him a trumpet fanfare.

And we ate these bunny cupcakes.
By now you have guessed that it was Anne Marie... for her eighth birthday.  We made snow globes!
And there is something else you may notice about her hair...yes, I put a pink streak in!! She was worried what mommy would say, but it was a simple chalk hair pen that comes right out. The bunny is looking on disapprovingly, but I like the look!
And around ten o'clock, she left for bed, after some pictures with Phil and I. A good evening!
She is so big now. It seems like only yesterday she looked like this...

“I’ll take joy in Jerusalem, take delight in my people: No more sounds of weeping in the city, no cries of anguish; No more babies dying in the cradle, or old people who don’t enjoy a full lifetime; One-hundredth birthdays will be considered normal— anything less will seem like a cheat.”
Isaiah 65

Easter For Christmas

A big new trend this year seems to be decorating for Christmas with all pink. Count me in! I snapped these photos in only one store ( T.J. ...
