Again With the Pumpkin Man!

Last Friday I finally showed Anne Marie the almost 900 pound pumpkin, and all the other huge ones. She posed with the pumpkins even though it was really cold and very windy.

We happened to be there when the newspaper and T.V. came to interview the Pumpkin Man. He was on the front page of our newspaper!

Notice the long green things on the ground? He grows them too, and they get huge! They are Long Gourds. He hung them on this frame to show them off, and you can see one growing out back. They look like big green snakes!

“…each man threw down his staff and they all turned into snakes. But then Aaron’s staff swallowed their staffs.”

Lovely pictures of Anne Marie on the pumpkin. That pumpkin is huge, I don't think I have actually ever seen one that big except in photos. I have certainly never seen those long gourds before, fascinating things those are. Thanks for visiting my Remembrance Poppy post, and also I wanted to answer your question about the long red flower. You asked what it was. It's a lupine. Have a great week Ginny :)

Anne Marie gets lovelier every time I see her! My question is, what does he do with all those pumpkins?

How special that you were there when the Pumpkin Man was there...

Anne Marie is getting prettier and prettier --and is growing up much too fast. Will your son and DIL adopt another beautiful child?

Hugs,
Betsy

Sunday Sunset

I snapped these from the Target parking lot. The sun had just gone down, but the trees were hiding the very bottom part of the sunset. Life...
