The World Cup

 Did you watch the World Cup? I did for a bit, just to see the spectacle. And here are the coolest, courtesy of my couch and the T.V.

Such Great Heights

 Back to the Tall Ships again.

Do you see what I see? The men are standing and balancing on the yardarms!

Oy! I can't even figure out how they got up there, much less how they can balance with all the wind.

I think I would either vomit all over the ship or fall in the sea and be eaten by sharks. These are brave men! It does look like they have safety belts of some kind. Nevertheless...

So Tall

 On the 4th of July, we loved watching the Tall Ships on T.V. I took a few photos. O.K., a lot of photos. But they were so majestic!

This was my favorite

And there was something that really surprised me about the ships. It kind of stunned me to see it. Do you know what it may be? You will in my next post.

Soft As Sorrow

 Today was a red alert weather day. Because the air is not healthy to breathe. The smoke from Canadian wildfires has drifted down into our valley. Here is what we saw.

If the air is so unhealthy for us, I cannot imagine toe poor people in Canada!

It is a dreamy mist, but the beauty is deceptive.

Goats

 We are still at the Pollinator Festival. They also have goats to feed. There were a lot of cute goats!

I especially liked the black & white spotted ones.

A few cows came over to see what was going on.

And this little calf.

They are in a very pretty area.

 

Bee-ing

So, what WAS that lady looking at in my last post? Well, since this was a pollinator festival...

It was a large bee display!!

The white clumps you see is the wax they make.

As we were the last people of the day, the bee lady said something that rather tickled me. She said her bees were starting to get fussy, and wanted to go home. Huh? Kind of like they were toddlers.

I have heard that if there were no more bees, humans would only exist four days. Turns out, AI said that is not true!

A bee is a tiny reminder that small things make the world bloom.

The Pace Of Petals

 A few weeks ago, we visited the Garden Center, as they were having a pollinator festival. We were greeted with this.

Believe it or not, the next two are solar lights!

And what is this woman looking at so intently? This was my favorite part of the visit, and I will show you on my next post.
