Dark Side Of The Moon

Last week, the Space Station flew over! There was a lot of hoopla, and it was a very clear night. So we went up on the mountain to see it. There were lots of others there too. It was going SO fast I had an awful time tracking it! So here it is. Kind of disappointing, but at least I got one shot. It looks kind of like a UFO.

Then I turned around and noticed the moon was very pretty.

And then, it happened!! I literally saw the dark side of the moon! Can you see it in these last two pictures? Definitely better than the Space Station!

“I’ll see you on the dark side of the moon.”
Pink Floyd

“He makes the moon wax and wane, putting it through its phases. He draws the horizon out over the ocean, sets a boundary between light and darkness.”
Job 26

I went out early this past summer to watch it...and it really DOES move all too quickly.

Love your moon shots Ginny.

BTW, if you're still having problems leaving a comment with blogger blogs like I was, I've been told to make sure you're logged in to your account beforehand, and there is no word verification then.

Dear Ginny, That is absolutely fascinating!!! I would not know what I was looking at or what to look for and probably would have missed the entire event. I love that you put Pink Floyd at the end of the post. That was a great album.
Blessings dear. Catherine xo
