The Beavers And The Moon

Tonight when I looked up, I saw the full moon and remembered that it is November's full moon, called the Beaver Moon. No beavers in sight though! They are very busy preparing for winter. From afar, the moon looked like a shimmering purple star above this house and turret. I was rather enchanted. SO, I had to get a few close-ups!

“And when you look up to the sky and see the sun, the moon and the stars—all the heavenly array—do not be enticed into bowing down to them and worshiping things the Lord your God has apportioned to all the nations under heaven.
Deuteronomy 4

Wow! What amazing moon pictures. In the first two photos, it really looks like a purple star! I saw a moon last night and it was very bright. Didn't see purple from my window, though. I wonder why it's called Beaver Moon.

Happy Friday and have a wonderful weekend!

awesome shot. i have never seen a moon that had that purple haze to it. but then i don't see the moon at night, only in the early am...the moon was fantastic today and yesterday hanging right in front of the windshield all the way to the YMCA

Love that Scripture, isn't like us to worship the creation rather than the Creator. Beautiful shots Ginny!
