The Storm

We live in an area called the Tree Streets. There are lots of trees, and each street has a tree name. On Wednesday, a storm centered on our area, with fast winds and hail. Also huge lightening. This is the resulting damage. I snapped these as we drove to church right after the storm. One huge tree fell on a roof! Thankfully, no one was badly injured. Power was lost for thousands. All we lost was a freezer full of food.

We are still in a waiting mode for the surgeries. We will be in north Carolina maybe four days if all goes well. Love to all of you!!

I hate to see all those trees down - but glad you 'just' lost your food. Let us know when the surgery is!

I am glad you are safe...I will be glad when the surgeries are over for both of you. And when a week or two has passed.

We lived through a small tornado like that years ago when we lived in MA. it took down massive trees in our yard and the surrounding neighborhood. It was like walking thru a jungle. Insurance wouldn't pay to have the trees removed cause it didn't hit our house or the garage. Just missed them by a couple of feet. So you can guess we were pretty busy for a while. Glad it was in our younger years. It was very scary. Glad you are safe and praying hard for you guys.

Hi Ginny, So glad you did not have damage. It is hard when trees fall. We had a enormous Oak fall at our TN home a number of years back when we still were living on the lake. Makes a big expensive problem. I am praying for your hubby and you! Be encouraged!

We had same hit us many years ago. Scary. It did bring neighbors close to gether even strangers. Out of it. We helped a couple to help rake up damage and haul branches with them. We had not any damage like others but did have no power for over a week.
