A Perilous Trip

I will be off from blogging today (Tuesday). We have to take a friend to Richmond. This involves driving over Afton Mountain in possibly bad fog.  This is one of the very few places that have cameras and fog lights embedded into the road. But it does not do much good. On a good day, it can look like this.
In the meantime, here are some of the unusual things for sale outside the strange little second hand shop a few blocks away. I think coffee used to come in these?

One person's junk is another person's treasure.

Hope you made it there safe and back - what a contrast from the fog to the color items in town!

The fog does make driving difficult. Hope you had a safe drive. Pretty coffee cans.

that last pic looks like part of the Tin Man... I love the painted cans and am wondering if someone hand painted them, or just how they got painted. it would take hours to paint it. you find the most interesting things out there to show us. be safe going over the mountain. we have fog this morning, but not like your mountain

Those were designed coffee cans as I had several of them at one time for canisters. I hope you have a safe trip and that is one of the bad things about driving in the mountains.

It's very scary to drive in a fog. I wish you a safe trip.
Looks like the store has many interesting things. Maybe some treasures can be found :-)

Safe travels over the mountain.
Boy, I love those coffee cans. They are so colorful and artistic.
They would make cute table toppers for a women's function...
You always find the most interesting things on your trips.

I remember buying coffee in cans like those! Maybe in the 1970’s?
I hope and pray you had a safe trip......

Fog on mountain drives is scary. But your photos of colorful treasures-in-waiting for the right buyer were colorful and so cheerful.
