Surprise Facebook Picture

Phil's birthday was yesterday. and imagine my surprise when I saw this picture on Facebook. Our granddaughters had made this huge card, and and with big smiles they put it on Facebook!` We will be celebrating Friday. I cannot wait to squeeze these cuties! P.S. My header was taken many years ago.

To The Moon & Back

Well of course, after my sunset the moon must follow! I snapped these the same evening that I did the sun.. In the parking lot of MacDonald's with a fish sandwich!

“The man who has seen the rising moon break out of the clouds at midnight has been present like an archangel at the creation of light and of the world.”  ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Friday Sunset

I am so glad you can watch the sun set with me, exactly as it happened. I snapped these only a few hours ago. I love summer sunsets!

“And as far as sunrise is from sunset, he has separated us from our sins. As parents feel for their children, God feels for those who fear him.”

Golfing Man

Look out, it's Golfing Man! This topiary is in the yard of a house that sits right beside our golf course. I took these pictures a few years ago. But if you look at my header, you will see the picture I took this week. Golfing Man has gotten quite fat and unkempt. I believe the older people in the house can no longer keep him trim. He may even be turning into a regular bush! So without these pictures, no one would know that once, he was a fine golfer. Farewell, Golfer.

“My teaching, let it fall like a gentle rain, my words arrive like morning dew, like a sprinkling rain on new grass, like spring showers on the garden.”

The Lily Pads

This is my last post on the giant Lego creations. But I hope to go back on a cooler day and find more! This is the giant lily pads. All made out of Lego blocks, of course! Now if only there was a Lego frog on them!

Giant Hummingbird

Here is the other giant Lego display we saw. You can see how big it is because my friend Karen is standing beside it. And you can also see the individual Legos. I think I liked this one more than the butterfly.  A hovering masterpiece.

David looked up and saw the angel hovering between earth and sky…”

Giant Butterfly

I was out walking with my girlfriend, and this giant butterfly attacked us!

It then flew off and started to chase others!

O.K., the truth is that we went to see a display of giant butterflies made from Lego blocks. This butterfly is made with over 37,000 pieces! We look miserable because it was so hot that we could not walk through and see everything. Here is a close-up shot where you can see the individual Legos! On my next post, I will show you what else we saw.

“This was back in the days (and also later) when there were giants in the land.

The Flower

The full moon this week is called the Full Flower Moon. Because of all the flowers that are in bloom now. I got some good shots of it last ...
