Blood Red

I suppose you have already heard that there was an eclipse tonight and the moon would turn blood red! We went out snapping, but it has been cloudy and raining, as you can see.
I did get a few good pictures waiting for the clouds to pass. But none of them red.
Since I never saw the Blood Red Moon, I tinkered with one of my pictures to give you one, background and all. Now we have all seen the Blood Red moon!

As always you got some great shots of the moon Ginny. I especially like the second one with the blue sky in the background. I went out to look for the moon tonight and there were clouds, I only got a tiny glimpse. Your Blood Red moon is wonderful!

HI Ginny Great shots of the moon. Sorry it rained on you but like your edit on what you thought it should have looked like.

I heard mention of a blood red moon but didn't realize it was because of an eclipse.
Your moon shots are always a pleasure to see

Thank you very much! We couldn't see anything except the snow falling from the sky. It was pretty though--the snow, that is.

Best,
Bonnie

Great photos... If we can't SEE a RED moon, we can just MAKE one... Right??? ha... We couldn't see it here either since it was raining and cloudy.

I got to see the red moon, but I couldn't get a good shot. It was so chilly out and between the cold and my shaky hands, my pictures blurred. Drat it. Your shots are super! That is a neat header, too!

Hi Ginny, I stayed up and the sky was so cloudy...there was no moon at all. I hear California got a good view.

We didn't get to see the Blood Moon either -- it was just too cloudy to see the moon at all. But I enjoyed your version of the pink moon.

It was not visible here either. You still got some great moon shots. I am always glad to have your drop by as I know you are okay that way. Trust you are still doing well.

I missed it. I'm sure it was beautiful.

I depend on you and Phil to keep us up to speed on the visible celestial events. We never seem to make them in person!
