Eiffel Update
I have a last minute update on this Christmas Eiffel Tower business! During shopping, I have seen several giant Eiffel Towers for sale! Huge ones, as tall as a tall Christmas Tree. One was at Home Goods Store, and the other was at Big Lots. Does anyone know what the Eiffel Tower has to do with Christmas? It is not that I don't like it, I am just mystified...

Other than their lighting it up for Christmas in France, I have no idea what it has to do with it, Ginny. :)
Hi Ginny If you Google your question (as I have just done) you will discover LOTS of interesting facts about the Tower. Too any to mention here!!
Good day Ginny, I have no idea about the tower. We don't get to see these beautiful decorations here.
wow, i did the google thing and there are many many tower decorations, a whole ornament collection.. who knew
That is interesting. I guess people just love the idea of Paris?
It's very interesting that Effel Tower is such hot item for Christmas decoration. I have no idea why but would like to know!
It must have something to do with Paris being a magical place in so many peoples' imaginations!
Have never through about the Effel Tower at Christmas before.
Maybe that means we are soooo global.
Special questions Ginny, I just enjoy the light of Paris.
Greetings,
Filip
Great question Ginny, I wondered the same thing. Maybe it's because it is associated with romance. Other than that not a clue. But like you I do like the ornaments and decorations too.
Hmmm. I'm still waiting for the Yorkshire village ornament splash! LOL
It have not arrive to my side of the Globe yet. Hmm...if it is for Valentine Day then I can understand but for Christmas???hmmm.... really a puzzle
The Eiffel Tower seems to be 'in' right now Ginny. I have seen it on cards, on wine glasses, decorations. I won't be adding it to my Christmas Decorations though. In fact I haven't bought one new decoration this year. I love the ones I already have though.
Hi Ginny, responding to your question on my latest blog post. Yes, I have eaten chicken a la king many times, I find it delicious! :)
I was going to say the same thing as Denise. I think it's just that the Eiffel tower and anything Paris related is just in fashion at the moment. I don't see the appeal of adding so much of it to your Christmas decorating but some people have to go with the trends
Dear Ginny, I asked the same question? I am puzzled as well. I have seen the Eiffel Tower as part of decorations this year as well and don't understand why?
xo Catherine
I heard something mentioned about that the other day in Swedish television, the Eiffel tower being in fashion in interior decoration just kow, I'm not sure if especially for Christmas or in general.
