The Blues

We went shopping on Saturday and it was so crowded everywhere! The drive thru line at Starbucks went clean around all four sides of the building. We walked in and got served right away. So why would anyone wait a half hour with their car engine on? This is the scene at a local shopping center.

Since it was such a pretty day, we stopped off at a scenic overlook on the mountain. These are our Blue Ridge Mountains, They surround us and we live deep inside them in a valley. They protect us and amaze us always. I love them and feel safe within them. So here are our Blue Ridges.

The sun is starting to set now, time to hurry home!

“God is our refuge and strength,

an ever-present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea…”

Psalm 46

The mountains and the valley are so beautiful, Ginny.

I was surprised to see so many people shopping today. My shopping was only for necessities, but it looked like many were already Christmas shopping.

Busyness all around this past Saturday. Hope you were able to get what you were shopping for. Wow...Starbucks was a popular place that day!! The mountain views are so pretty...guess I didn't realize that you lived in the valley surrounded by these gorgeous mountains.
Stay warm....it's even cold here in Texas.

Beautiful blue mountains! I guess that is why it's called Blue Ridge Mountains? The last photo with yellow sky is stunning!

The mountains are gorgeous, Ginny! I have no idea why anyone would want to sit in lineup for half an hour to get a cup of coffee when going inside could be sooooo much quicker.

That does seem pretty crazy waiting all that time at a drive thru when you can easily run in and get what you need.

I am not one to shop on weekends. You truly shared a great blue mountain show today.

When I was a little girl our family would take vacations and spend time driving the Blue Ridge Parkway. Unfortunately we never got as far north as you live. I love all your photos of the gorgeous mountains.

I stayed home Friday and Saturday just to avoid all those crowds.
