We came upon these wonderful windows a few days ago. They were in an old Esso building. Remember that Exxon used to be Esso? These were windows of memory of the far away past and more recent past. I DO remember the leg lamps and the hula hoops, what do you remember?
“Thanksgivings will pour out of thewindows; laughter will
spill through the doors.”
oh how fun these are. I love looking back like this. I remember the leg lamp from the movie A Christmas story. Of course I had a few hula hoops back in the day too
i remember the esso stations, that is when they pumped the gas for us and cleaned the windshield and checked the oil and water and tires..i love these photos and would like to see this in person. what a great way to decorate.
What a lovely display. I didn't know about Exxon being Esso before. I do remember hula hoop! But I didn't play like the girl in display :-) Quite acrobatic!
WONDERFUL POST!! No, I did NOT realize that Esso was Exxon? I wanted to stop by today to send along my best wishes for you and your family in the year 2015. Happy New Year, and cheers.
