Mountain Music

Here in the Shenandoah Valley, we are bordered by the Blue Ridge Mountains in the east, and the Appalachian Mountains in the west. So you can only imagine the music that comes out of these hills. A local brewery had one of their outside wall painted in tribute to this. The corrugated wall was very challenging to the artist.

“I set your instructions to music and sing them as I walk this pilgrim way.”
Psalm 119

Wow, that's pretty impressive. I imagine it would be a challenge painting a scene like that on a corrugated wall

Just like what our late John Denver used to sing in Country Roads! When I went to Virginia, it reminded me of him... passing through the blue mountains...

I'm sure it was challenging to paint on a surface like that but what an amazing job he/she did!!

When I saw your post title it made me think of the group Alabama who had a hit song by that title. It was one of my favorites during the 80s.
Love the mural...the artist did a wonderful job!

A very talented person did a great job on these murals. I like the old fusion country music, but now hardly understated what they are saying.

Delightful artistry. I would love to see that in person. Great colors.
Just a comment on your blog comment.
We are trying to do the drain work ourselves...Having someone else do it would be so very costly....no money in the budget for it. So far our little portable pumps do the job for us. I guess working at this just helps keep us going.
What version is the bible quote today?
I love how you find the perfect thing for your posts.

Beautiful!

You asked about The Snow Child. It's written for adults. I would say wait a few years. By late middle school at the least.

That's such a great way to use empty wall space.

Sunday Sunset

I snapped these from the Target parking lot. The sun had just gone down, but the trees were hiding the very bottom part of the sunset. Life...
